"Information for Indian students returning to Georgia:"

This Embassy has received various representations regarding difficulty in return of Indian students; the matter was taken up with the relevant Ministry who has now clarified as follows:

• Indian Students can return either by charter flight or commercial flight. There is no ban on entry by commercial flight.
• The vaccinated Indian students/Nationals arriving with charter flights do not need to go the quarantine, because their documents are preliminary checked by Embassy of Georgia in Delhi.
• Indian students/Nationals using regular flights: If they have been vaccinated and want to avoid quarantine they should send the vaccination document at least 3 days in advance to the relevant university in order to check validity of vaccination document. This condition has been put due to many cases of fake vaccine certificate.
• There are no extra charges for granting permission by any university. If any university is demanding any such charges please bring it to our notice at cons.yerevan@mea.gov.in and copy to amb.yerevan@mea.gov.in.
