Advisory for Indian Nationals

***

Indian Nationals travelling to Armenia on ordinary passport may ensure that they have proper visas for Armenia before travelling. Please see Mission’s advisory on change of visa regime for Indian nationals travelling to Armenia. Indians coming to Armenia cannot travel to other countries, including Armenia’s neighboring countries and other European countries, by virtue of entry into Armenia. In other words, Indians coming to Armenia need to have visa for other countries if they intend to visit those countries from Armenia. For Indian nationals, it is also as difficult to go to Russia or Europe from Armenia as it is from India.

It has been reported to this Embassy that some unscrupulous travel agents have been duping Indian nationals by luring them to Armenia telling them that Armenia offers jobs up to US$ 900 per month. It may be noted that ordinary jobs in Armenia offer a salary of US$ 200 only. It is almost impossible now for Indians to get residence cards in Armenia. Beware of false promises and unscrupulous agents. If found as illegal immigrant in Armenia, you will be subjected to jail or deportation as per local laws.
