Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

OCI CARD:
The Government of India has withdrawn the PIO Card scheme vide Gazette Notification No.26011/01/2014IC.I dated 09.01.2015 and replaced it with OCI. Therefore, PIO cardholders, who are residing in Armenia and Georgia, are advised to apply for OCI card in lieu of PIO card at https://passport.gov.in/oci or contact: cons[dot]yerevan[at]mea[dot]gov[dot]in
Overseas Citizens of India Scheme (OCI) General Information: -

1. For Details and to apply for a new OCI Card and miscellaneous services, please log on to OCI: https://ociservices.gov.in/

Mandatory Documents to be submitted with OCI Application: -

1. Application Form - Part A duly filled in and signed wherever necessary

2. Application Form - Part B duly filled in and signed wherever necessary

3. Two recent passport photographs measuring 51x51 mm without border and showing full frontal view of the person's head and shoulders having a white or light coloured background. No glare if wearing glasses.

4. Copy of previous Indian passport OR any document which clearly establishes applicant's previous nationality as Indian.

5. Copy of present Armenian/Georgian passport

6. Copy of nationality certificate along with its English translation, duly notarized.

OCI Card for children below 18 years (who held an Indian Passport).

  1. Please note that in the Application Form Part A, in the box, a minor can sign only if he/she is able to, otherwise only thumb impression may be affixed (signature /thump impression should be within the box).
  2. In the Application Form - Part B duly filled in and signed wherever necessary by either of the parents.
  3. Copy of father's/mother's Armenian/Georgian passport who are eligible for an OCI Card.

 

OCI Card for Children below 18 years born to Indian parents and never held an Indian Passport.

OCI Card for Adults born to Indian parents and never held an Indian Passport

  1. Copy of previous Indian passport of either parent.
  2. Copy of Birth Certificate along with its English translation, duly notarized.
  3. Copy of marriage certificate of the parents along with its English translation, duly notarized.
